With over 20 years experience, Moderne Builders is a respected construction firm in the Palm Springs area specializing in Modern and Mid-Century design oriented residential renovations and construction.

We know that the process of design, permits and all of the construction process is demanding so, it’s key to work with people who understand each phase and all the inherent details so that it all comes together in the best way possible.

First, we start with the existing conditions of the home and site, assess your needs for function and flow, style, the use of materials and, of course, budget. As design-centered remodeling experts, Moderne Builders will help you “juggle” it so it all falls into place.

Growing up in a large family in Berkeley, CA, Avian always had lots of projects – from model cars and erector sets to holiday decorations and sewing. The rule in the house was Dad was not allowed to go near her tools!

With over 25 years of experience in the building industry, Avian Rogers, president, devotes herself and company to maintaining high standards of excellence while balancing practical economies of scale to get the look and style you dream of.

As one of the first independent woman contractors in California, she brings a designer’s eye and an artisan’s sensibility with a broad range of knowledge from rough construction, kitchens/baths, concrete and more — Inside and Out.

An early pioneer of DIY television, Avian co-founded and hosted in the first national home improvement shows, PBS’ “The Do-It-Yourself Show,” record-breaking as the most widely received new launch show in PBS history.
